This is the Tear It Down T-Shirt. In 2002, Israel illegally destroyed ‘over 3,000 homes and large areas of Palestinian agricultural land’, to make way for a wall which ‘turned towns and villages into isolated enclaves’. This photograph captures the constant intrusion of the occupation into everyday life. An intrusion photographer, Elias Halabi, knows all too well. The wall was constructed right outside his house, forcing him to relocate his family due to the danger. It is the infrastructure of apartheid, colonisation and oppression.
